Kristie + Rick (+Dudley)

It's been a while since I had such a busy weekend, and I can't remember when I posted six blogs in a three-day timeframe. But hey, it's always worth it in the end.

Today was a just another magnificent day and the perfect way to end a fabulous weekend of shooting. Today's engagement shoot was spent playing around with Kristie, Rick, and Dudley! Is he NOT just the cutest collie in a the land?!? He was such a good boy for his pictures too. He showed up groomed and with a smile and chased his ball into the sky until he felt like jumping in the lake. What a life... The sun was high and so was the wind. Sorry Kristie... Your hair is blowing EVERYWHERE - lol!!!

Had a great time with all of you!

Borski-Cook Wedding

Last weekend I was a bit nervous because of all the thunderstorms that came into Houston. But one thing I've learned about Texas and our weather is that regardless of the climate, we have some of the most beautiful skies I've ever seen and when the storm roll in, I need to get into the groove of grabbing the camera more often.

Samantha and Chris' wedding was a little damp, but no less perfect as they tied the knot at Ashelynn Manor on April 17th. What a beautiful country setting nestled into the wooded area of Montgomery. All of the details Samantha put together came together for a beautiful farm-like setting with a ton of charm.

Congratulations to you both!

Katy - Boudoir

How sweet it is! To have two boudoir sessions go so well this weekend. I'm hoping the third will be just as fantastic! But meet Katy; as sweet as she looks and super fun to shoot. This was another casual shoot; one that we've done many times here but as always the results are always unique and wonderful. Thanks Katy for being such a good sport and thank you May and Stephanie for all your help and motivation during these shoots.

Sheryl Boudoir

With some much needed down time appraching, I do have a few boudoir sessions this month and I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of doing them. And I can't think of a better way to start them off than with my session with Sheryl. As sweet as she is pretty, Sheryl brought a few ideas with her, one of which included using these beautiful bouquet of roses. Great job Sheryl!!!

Alexis Bridal

Sunday was another terrific day! It was so nice to get out of Houston to shoot somewhere different. This weekend was full of new places and ideas, and I'm so grateful to my clients for helping me accomplish this :-)

Last week I was able to talk Alexis into straying away from downtown Houston to try something new. We ventured off into the little town she's getting hitched in, Richmond, TX. Not far form Houston, this little town is a fabulous place filled with history and great places to shoot!

Following in true fashion to the shoot, Alexis showed up with the most beautiful wild flower bouquet which completely too my breath away while shooting. And, she made this herself!!! I wish I had half the talent to pull off something like that at the last minute. Now, for the best part of her wardrobe... The detachable sky blue train. One word: beautiful. The wind was perfect. The sun was warm. And the train decided to grace us with its presence. Perfect ingredients for a lovely time and a terrific shoot.... With a beautiful bride-to-be.

Thanks Helen for all of your help and for tagging along. Glad you were able to come play with us :-)

Julia + Jerry

Saturday was a good day. I left for College Station to do an engagement shoot with two Aggies on campus at Texas A&M. For someone who had only been to Kyle Field once for a football game, I had a second opportunity to learn a lot more about the school’s culture and have a MUCH better look around the campus. The most impressive stop was the Century Tree. I had heard about this massive piece of nature from both Julia and Jerry, but also from the hubs. He too is an Aggie :-) What I wasn't expecting was the actual size of it. Had I brought my fisheye lens, I may have been able to shoot the entire tree, but I was only equipped with my super-wide and did the best I could. I've even posted a photo I shot where I tried to get most of the tree in the frame... But look at how tiny Jerry and Julia look - tee hee hee. I almost felt like I should draw a diagram on it and circle the two of them with an arrow above saying "Couple Here!"

We had a ton of fun just walking around and talking, with an occasional stop to shoot here and there. Overall, it was a perfect afternoon with a perfect couple!!!
