Chapin - Pair Wedding

Saturday, we shot a wedding with a theme I don't get a lot of; pure country. Located in Tomball, TX is a small little place called Oakland Farm & Ranch. (yes, it's THAT country :-). It's a quaint outdoor venue for the most part with a small chapel and a room or two for receptions when they need to be indoors. The beauty of this place is in the ranch though. Vast open areas all around for taking photos that are so peaceful, green and full blue skies.

This is the venue of choice for Robin and Sam whom, up until Saturday, I hadn't even met except for a conversation over the phone. What a perfect pair they are too; so sweet and bright with smiles. It was a beautiful evening and a perfect Texas-style wedding for sure.

Congratulations Robin and Sam!

Sheila & Amy - Underwater

Ok, one quick little blog before I have to get started on a wedding and a boudoir session... Lurkers, meet Sheila and Amy. Sheila and Amy packed a car-full of goodies and came over yesterday for an underwater session I set up to show my best pal how to do this kind of stuff. As always, everyone involved learned that it's a ton of work, but a ton of reward! Oh yeah, I have my first work-related injury... An earache and zero equilibrium from getting water in my left ear. No bueno. Note to self: No more laying on my side at the bottom of pool to shoot no matter how cool I may think the angle is...

Thanks Amy, Sheila and Marilane for another fun afternoon!!!

Rachel - Underwater

Continuing the underwater fun, here's Rachel. Rachel isn't a stranger to this blog and has turned into another favorite when I shoot. We spent a good portion of the time together just playing around with the props Yeishi left, but then waited for the sun to go down so we could play with the lights in the pool. What fun!!!

When I look at the images we took this weekend, she makes me think of Alice in Wonderland. Hey, that gives me an idea... :-)

Yeishi - Underwater

Here's a quick blog for the very beautiful and extremely graceful, Yeishi. It's so wonderful to be back underwater again. I don't know what I like more; the fabulous time I have shooting and cutting up with clients while we work, or the fun I have doing the post work on the images. Regardless, it's become a new favorite and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The shoot with Yeishi is nothing short of a perfect example of why this is so much FUN!

Many thanks to my good pal Kelly for helping with all of the props and ideas. She came fully-stocked with fun things to play with. You're the best!!! Can't wait to shoot YOU underwater my dear :-)

Castro - Clark Wedding

When I look back at the venues I've worked at, I think I've shot more at Paraiso Maravilla than any other place. It will always hold a special place in my heart because I was married there. It never gets old though and even though I'm there a lot, the experience is always different. As a wedding photographer, you learn that it's not the place, it's the people who make the event unique. A terrific example of this is Cristina and Beau's wedding last weekend. Of all the weddings I've shot there, I think this one was probably the most fun and unique.

Whenever I get to a venue and see LG Entertainment setting up, I get extra excited because I know it's going to be a fun night. When you have LG, and throw in a huge bin of silly hats, a cotton candy machine, and a desert bar that will make you drool just by the very sight alone, you have an unforgettable party on your hands.

Another wedding success and many congratulations to Cristina and Beau!!!
